The Bloody Mary is the perfect way to kickstart a morning or wind down an afternoon. Unfortunately more and more when you order a Bloody Mary it consists of Bloody Mary Mix, Vodka and a celery stalk. Most Bloody Mary Mixes are extremely high in sodium so make your own and enjoy.
1/2 Tablespoon of Old Bay
1/2 Tablespoon of Soy Sauce
Few Dashes of Crystal Hot Sauce
Few Dashes of Worcestershire Sauce
1/2 Tablespoon of Horseradish (optional)
Pickles to Garnish
The pour is up to you but 1/4 Vodka to 3/4 Tomato Juice is about right. I like to use a Mason Jar, not because I am a hipster, it makes for an easy way to mix all the ingredients. Pickled Wax beans make for the perfect garnish but any pickled vegetable will do, skip the celery. I opt-out on the horseradish but I am a ‘no pulp’ person, if you like a little pulp then by all means add the horseradish.
