Buckle up! There may have been some controversy in recent times, regarding what people can and can not wear in their drivers license photos. But you know what? Who cares? Because the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster doesn’t. Sometimes people really show us the way. Now, I won’t get into the fact that the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster believes that we’ve originated from pirates and while they’re not certain…it’s probable that the afterlife has a beer volcano and a stripper factory!
What matters most here, is that Lindsay Miller, a Pastafarian was able to wear a spaghetti strainer (or a sculabasta for my Italian peeps) on her head for her drivers license photo. She was originally denied by the Massachusetts RMV, because it was a hat, so to speak. However, because it was based on religious beliefs, the Flying Spaghetti Monster prevailed and she was granted her photo. (Flying Spaghetti Monster: 1, Haters: 0) Whether or not this group is serious or just making one hell of a point, remains to be seen. There are a lot of “holes” in this story. I mean, Pastafarian? Slow clap.
