Knob Creek 2001 is one of the last batches of bourbon barreled by the late, great Jim Beam distiller – Booker Noe. His son, Fred Noe, discovered the barrels labeled 2001 after his father passed away. The results is a really easy drinking bourbon that will keep you coming back for more.
The tasting notes are from a bottle of Batch 3. The nose is sweet and full of caramel with subtle wood notes. The taste is well balanced with sweet and spicy notes mixing well with the oak. The finish is warm and relatively dry.
A little pricey but overall a really nice bottle of bourbon.
