The Jonny Drum Private Stock is a great bourbon and for the price it is an exceptional bourbon. Jonny Drum, distilled by Willett, also makes a more entry level Green Label bourbon that is aged for four years.
The nose is spicy with woody hints, you can tell it is a youthful bourbon. The taste is sweet with a little rye balance. The finish is smooth with the sweetness shining through.
This is not a bourbon that I would sip neat or on the rock but it is an excellent bourbon for mixing a Manhattan or an Old Fashioned, so mix, shake, pour and enjoy.
