How to Use Ice Globes?

What exactly are ice globes?  These handy little beauty tools allow you to up your facial game, or add a refreshing, but relaxing de-puffing session to your day to day.

The concept of “icing” your skin isn’t exactly new.  Some people have been using actual ice on their face for quite a while.  And while some swear by it, others caution that the damage it can do isn’t really worth it.  We’d be lying if we said we’ve never iced our skin, and were quite happy with the immediate effects – but disappointed with the news that this really isn’t great for your skin in the long run.

Likely inspired by the Korean beauty trends, but gaining steady traction thanks to TikTok Skincare vids, these ice globes claim to de-puff, relieve sinus pressure, and impart an all-around glow to the skin.  Honestly, they had us at relieves sinus pressure, and are a great add on to our gua sha routine.  Some versions recommend popping them in the fridge for a bit, while others can even be placed in the freezer.  Then you simply massage your face and enjoy the relaxing, soothing, circulation boosting effects.  Typically upward strokes can encourage a lifting effect, while downward encourages lymphatic drainage.  They can be used alone on freshly washed and clean skin, or you can massage after applying your serum, lotion or face mask of choice.

Are These Even Worth It?

We think they are!  While many beauty tools are only as good as their short term results, we’re ok with that.  These feel amazing.  We struggle with a lot of sinus pressure, and general puffiness in the morning, and these made a difference.  If you’re trying to carve out some time for self-care Sunday, these are a great addition.  They’re so cooling and soothing that we can’t imagine not incorporating them in our weekly at-home facials now.  We’ve also noticed that the general consensus on many of these reviews across different retailers is that people really seem to love them.

So if you’re looking to check these out, and need a place to start, we’ve found some great options below, including:
