These days we’re big fans of any way to learn online, especially when it’s in the comfort of your own home and at your own pace. One of the most popular online coding course programs is Codecademy and, spoiler alert, we even took some courses here to we could help build and tweak Brostrick. We give ourself an A+ (duh), but here’s all the deets you need to know!
What Is It?
Codecademy has been around for quite some time and have had over 45 million subscribers. They make it actually pretty easy (and fun) to learn coding, in a wide variety of different programming languages, and with hundreds of different courses. It doesn’t matter if you’re a total beginner (like us), have some experience, or a pro and just want to learn some of the latest skills for a new project you may have been hired for or want to get hired for.
With their impressive 45 million people who have accesses their classes, many have gone on to work for major companies and brands like Google, Facebook, Apple, Reddit, Youtube, Amazon, Spotify and so many more. What we really love about Codecademy is that you get to choose what you learn, so you’re not forced to sit through courses you’re not interested in (or already have expertise in), they provide a total hands-on approach so you’ll actually be coding and writing regularly, and you’ll even get instant feedback so you’ll know if what you’ve just coded was correct and working!
If you’re not sure exactly where to begin, some of their more popular subjects include:
- Website Development – See It Here
- Data Science – See It Here
- Machine Learning – See It Here
- Web Design – See It Here
And there are a ton of different coding languages to learn with some of those most popular options including:
With the world we live in lately and everyone basically working from home, it’s really a great opportunity to learn from home. With the major success of MasterClass and even more and more people trying out Talkspace, we totally recommend Codecademy too. And, this also makes a great gift option for anyone on your list who’s into the coding world and, yes, it’s even a great idea (and age appropriate) for certain tweens and teenagers. Start ’em young!
Are There Promo Codes or Coupons?
Always a popular question, we have the official answer for you (even though you may not want to hear it). Unfortunately, no, Codecademy does not offer coupons or have promo code offers for other websites. Typically, when you see them listed out on those other sites that basically just toss up a bunch of different discount codes, no, they usually don’t work. Oh, and we don’t have them either. However, they do have certain discounts and free trials for their customers over on their site. You have to visit them directly, but in the past we’ve seen ways to take off over $200 on a yearly subscription, monthly sign-ups for just $19.99, and even 35% off for active students. Again, shop them direct and you’ll see all the deets. Check out all their offers here!
In the meantime here are the quickest ways to see the latest and greatest promos from Codecademy in October 2020.
