Bose QuietComfort 20i Acoustic Noise Cancelling Earbuds

I have always been wary of noise canceling headphones and the claims made by the companies who make them.  Do they really work?  Can they possibly block out all the annoying sounds on an airplane?  Are the comfortable to wear?  And, since I’m not a huge headphone guy, do I really want to wear, let alone carry, huge head phones?  That all changed when I discovered the Bose QuietComfort 20i noise canceling headphones.

As you travel more, it goes without saying that your chances of winding up amidst a cacophony of noise go up with every plane that you step into. Anything from a crying baby, to a snoring seat mate or the ill-timed announcements can drive you crazy and ensure that you don’t rest, let alone, sleep.  Instead of allowing air rage to rear its ugly head and risking an unwanted meet and greet with an air marshal, Bose QuietComfort noise canceling ear buds will virtually silence the nonsense around you and will change your trip.

The product says that it is ideal for an iPhone, iPad or iPod because it has a microphone for talking.  That is a nice bonus, but I have used them on airplane movies and music on my mac with equally successful results.  The ear buds are amazingly effective in eliminating ambient noise in and around your area.  They are so noticeably effective that when you remove them from your ears the engine and airplane noise becomes so intense that it will annoy you on all flights going forward.  I will warn you that the earbuds need to be charged in order to work.  A full charge took me about 2 hours,  and lasted for approximately 16 hours.  They come with three different ear bud sizes to fit any ear.

I can’t recommend the product enough, especially for frequent travelers, whether on planes or any other mode of transportation where noise may be an issue.  The steep price is worth it.  Buy them here at Amazon.
