The Rogue XS Dead Guy Ale is a strong beer, at 9% ABV, that is about double the strength of a traditional American lager.  Twice the strength translates into more than twice the taste here.

The nose is sweet and toasty with some yeasty bread notes.  The taste is a nice balance of toasted orange and carmel sweetness.  The finish is quick with a mild hops and subtle carbonation.

The folks at Rogue brew a quality product with premium products which in this case results in a excellent tasting ale.  An expensive pint but worth treating yourself for a special occasion, buy it here.
