Crazy Jack’s Homemade Banana Nut-Bread
Who doesn’t like a nice, warm, comforting banana bread? Or hug for that matter? My dad has been making this recipe for what seems like my entire life. This one contains walnuts, but if you have someone in your house with a nut allergy, you can easily substitute in coconut (assuming that’s safe to eat!).
Banana Bread Ingredients
3 ripe bananas
1 cup of sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 cup of flour
1/4 cup of melted butter
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 cup of chopped walnuts (substitute chopped/shredded coconut if you’d like)
Dash of salt
How to Prepare
Add sugar, egg, flour and melted butter into a mixing bowl. Place the 3 ripe bananas into the bowl and smash them down a bit. Next, add the baking soda, chopped walnuts (or shredded coconut) and dash of salt and mix thoroughly.
Once mixed, pour into a buttered or Crisco’d 8 1/2 x 4 1/12 loaf pan. Bake at 325º for about 45 minutes. Dunzo! Enjoy.
