My Ginger Margarita

By: Ross | Last Major Update: October 20, 2014

Ginger Margarita

There is nothing wrong with the traditional Margarita but the addition of Ginger Beer helps to balance out the acidity of the fresh lime juice.  Please take the time to squeeze fresh limes, the results are well worth the extra work.

Ginger Beer

Fresh Lime Juice

Tequila

Salt (Optional)

If you are going to rim the glass with salt, don’t for get to do that first.  Wipe a lime around the rim and dip the rim into salt.  Fill the glass up to the top with ice.  The ratio that seemed to work best was 1/2 lime juice, 1/4 Ginger Beer and 1/4 Tequila (about 5 limes).  Carefully stir so not to knock off the salt and add a little pour of Tequila to top it off.
