Publicly Shame Your Son with the ‘Benjamin Button’ Punishment Haircut

If you have a child who's misbehaving and you're not sure what else to do, apparently you can take him (or her, we guess) down to A1-Kutz in Atlanta to meet with barber, Russell Fredrick, and they'll give him what they're calling the "Benjamin Button Special" which is basically just your standard old man haircut.

We’re not quite sure how we feel about this one.  If you have a child who’s misbehaving and you’re not sure what else to do, apparently you can take him (or her, we guess) down to A1-Kutz in Atlanta to meet with barber, Russell Fredrick, and they’ll give him what they’re calling the “Benjamin Button Special” which is basically just your standard old man haircut.  They’re claiming it’s a way to teach your misbehaving kids to “act grown.”  And if money is tight, have no fear, because this haircut is actually free of charge.  It’s nice that you can still publicly shame your child in a cost effective way.

According to The Washington Post:

Fredrick, the A-1 Kutz co-owner and a 34-year-old father of three, said he decided to advertise the cut after he used the unique disciplinary measure on his 12-year-old son, Rushawn, last fall — and saw immediate results. Rushawn’s grades, which had fallen, “dramatically skyrocketed” after he got his old-man haircut, Frederick said.”

We certainly have an odd sense of humor here at Brostrick.com, but there’s something about this one that makes us think there has to be a better, less counterproductive, way to get your kids on the straight and narrow.  What are your thoughts?  Sound-off on our Facebook page here.
