The saying goes, that all good things must come to end, and so it is with my days of crushing candy. It truly was a beautiful and special relationship that I will cherish forever. You were always there when I needed you, like that time my plane was delayed, or waiting at the dentist, and that day we spent together at the Jury Duty; I will remember that day for the rest of my life. Ah, how we laughed and the day just flew by. Yes, I always felt like you had to leave a early and wished we could hang out just a little longer, but I understood how busy you were. At least that’s what I told myself.
As hard as it is, I know in my heart, it’s time for both of us to move on. We had 265 great times together (yes I counted, and so did you) but no matter how hard I try, it seems like we can’t get to the next phase in our relationship. You know I tried every trick in the book, but nothing. It’s clear that it’s time to move on, for both our sake’s.
The other saying goes it’s better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all. That is the motto I will follow as I walk away. It will be hard, and I can’t do it alone, but thankfully my friends Disco Bees and Cascade will be by my side every step of the way. And, as the immortal Whitney Houston sang, “I-e-I-e-I will always love you.”
